Favicons the rest of them

There are more to favicon’s then just favicon.ico.The different smartphones, tablets, browsers, and Operating Systems each has their own requirements. Besides the format and sizes, some images are used for a shortcut on the mobile desktop, and proper background color, padding is needed. ¶ When our site is viewed, we want the tab to show a nice image, the bookmarks to show our image. If the user saves it to the desktop, we would like to have it personalized to our application not a generic icon and text.
