There are more to favicon’s then just favicon.ico.The different smartphones, tablets, browsers, and Operating Systems each has their own requirements. Besides the format and sizes, some images are used for a shortcut on the mobile desktop, and proper background color, padding is needed. ¶ When our site is viewed, we want the tab to show a nice image, the bookmarks to show our image.
